Milford, CT is Working for Wishes

They set a goal to raise $10,000 for Make-A-Wish and they’re halfway there!

This year marks two decades of supporting Make-A-Wish (MAW) with Olympic Steel’s Working for Wishes campaign. In 2004, divisions began running their own fundraising campaigns to raise awareness and donations to help fund wishes for Make-A-Wish chapters across America.

Since 2004, Olympic Steel and subsidiary locations have raised over $1.5 million and granted more than 150 wishes in support of their mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illness.

Whether a division starts small or takes months to plan an event that raises tens of thousands of dollars, every bit helps. Many locations have small events throughout the year to reach their MAW fundraising goal.

Our Milford, CT division set a goal at the end of last year to raise $10,000 by August 2024 – and they’re halfway there! Themed raffles, coupon booklet sales, Jeans Days, office snack sales, and an upcoming Spring Weather Spirit Week all contribute to their running total of funds raised – 100% supported by employee donations!

The team uses their digital screens to share their progress with the graphic below…each filled-in star represents $1,000 raised.

Great job, Milford, and keep up the great work!
