Safety Performance through November 2020
Our relentless focus on Safety is continuing to yield positive results. Let’s keep the momentum going in 2021!
We continue to move safely in the right direction! December Safety Stats (data through November 2020) were recently published to all employees. Here are the big wins:
- Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) – IMPROVED 46%, when comparing the current rate of 4.3 to the peak rate of 7.4 from October 2019
- Overall Number of Injuries – IMPROVED 3x faster (steeper slope) than the decrease in hours worked
- DART Rate at a 3-year Record Low – For the first time since 2017, the Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) for Total Flat-Rolled has been less than or equal to the Industry Mean Benchmark
- Safety Action Plans: 3Q Update
– As a Company, we have exceeded our target of 75% completion in each category. See the All Company 3Q Progress Report here.
