2024 Culture Champion Award

Congratulations to our 2024 Culture Champion Award recipient, Eric Effinger.

Last year, Olympic Steel’s DEI Council grew to include members of five subcommittees: Communications & Engagement, Recruiting & Selection, Measuring Effectiveness, Training & Education, and Program & Policy Review. The team works together, and with others across the organization, to realize the Council’s Mission:

Nominated by their peers, the 2024 Culture Champion Award recipient is recognized for their leadership in being a champion and role model for the Council’s Mission. This year’s recipient is Eric Effinger, Senior Inside Sales Representative at our Integrity Stainless, Streetsboro, OH division.

Rick Marabito (CEO and the committee’s Executive Sponsor) presented the award to Eric at the Annual DEI Summit on August 21, 2024. In addition to the desktop award, a $250 charitable donation was made in Eric’s name to a charity of his choice: Womankind – Cleveland.
