Chicago, Tube & Iron – Indianapolis, IN: Ron Morrill

Ron Morrill, Warehouse Lead at CTI in Indianapolis, IN, wanted to create a safer work environment while maintaining 5S procedures.

Working with the North Carolina division and the other members of the Safety Committee, he developed and implemented a safer way to load, unload and stock laser parts with the S.A.F.E. Initiative: Stop, Adjust, Fix, Exit. Ron and the team took it one step further and created S.A.F.E. Initiative video to use for internal training.

Lesson Learned: Sometimes it takes a village! Some projects take a number of different skill sets to ultimately serve the customers’ needs. Bring a team together to let everyone do what they do best.
