Joel Algrem, Process Engineer, participated in Olympic Steel’s Operational Excellence Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) program. He is the first CTI employee to participate in the program. 

His successful completion of the program made it possible for Joel to apply the principles and disciplines of the program to immediately contribute to the division by streamlining processes that reduce costs.

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program is a lengthy, rigorous process that’s completed in addition to an employee’s daily job responsibilities. The concepts learned can be applied to any project in any location to generate similar success.

Lesson Learned: LSSGB graduates learn first-hand that using an established process to identify, assess and resolve issues makes it possible to create and sustain positive changes that can have a big impact locally and across the Company.
