Get Ready for 2025 Benefit Coverage

Open Enrollment for 2025 coverage ended on November 15. Here's what you need to know to be ready for a new benefit year with a new medical provider.

Congratulations, Olympians – Open Enrollment wrapped up at 99.5% complete – amazing! Whether you adjusted your coverage or not, here are some important points to remember as we head into 2025.

• MEDICAL COVERAGE: If you elected medical coverage, new medical insurance cards will be mailed to the address you have listed in UKG as of mid-December. Our new medical insurance provider is Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, referred to as Anthem. When you talk to someone about your insurance coverage you can say either “Anthem” or “Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield”. We will use “Anthem” in Company communications.

• Click here for a flyer to help you register with Anthem on their website (anthem.com/register) or download the Sydney^SM Health app. The app is available in Google Play and the App Store. You’ll need your new Anthem medical card to help you register.
• FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT: If you elected a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you will receive your new HealthEquity card by the end of December. If you have funds in an existing FSA account, you will need to use through BRI during the runout period (45 days). REMEMBER – you will only be reimbursed for charges accrued during the 2024 plan year. After BRI reconciles the accounts, any rollover funds (2024 IRS limit is $640) will be sent to HealthEquity no later than May 2025 for you to use.
• HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT: If you elected a Health Savings Account (HSA), you will receive your new Health Equity card by the end of December. Olympic Steel will initiate the transfer of funds to your new account by the end of the December.
• DENTAL COVERAGE: We still won’t have dental cards. Our provider is still Delta Dental of Ohio. Providers verify eligibility with a social security number.
• VISION COVERAGE: We still won’t have vision cards. Our provider is still VSP. Providers verify eligibility with a social security number.
• 2025 WELLNESS INCENTIVE: The WellPerks Wellness Incentive is a benefit for employees enrolled in the Olympic Steel medical plan.
• Proof of your annual physical is due by September 30, 2025 using the Physical Completion Form. Forms will be available on OSSIE and SteelPerks in 2025.
• You are eligible for your annual physical every new plan year (beginning 1/1); you do not need to wait one year from your previous physical.
• Only adults need to complete the exam (if your spouse is covered on our plan, then they need to complete their annual physical, too).
• After your visit, send the completed Physical Completion Form to Wellness@olysteel.com with YOUR FULL NAME in the SUBJECT LINE.
