Kevin Brockhoff

Inside Sales Representative, Action Stainless & Alloys, Springdale, AR

From Driver to Operations to Sales. Creates opportunities through continuous learning. Believes a positive attitude is the key to success.

Kevin Brockhoff started his career with Action Stainless & Alloys in 2010 as a Driver for the Kansas City (Riverside), MO location. In just one year, he was promoted to Warehouse Manager for the same location. There, he learned as much as he could about the business and warehouse operations. In 2014, he accepted a promotion to Inside Sales Representative and moved to the Springdale, AR location.

“I’m most proud of my promotion to Inside Sales Representative,” says Kevin. “With my background as a Driver and Warehouse Manager, I have a unique perspective to help solve challenges.”

Kevin uses his experience not only to advance his own career but to help others, too. He’s trained employees at multiple locations and is an active member of the Safety team. “Kevin is driven to succeed and helps those around him succeed as well through training initiatives and by providing insight from his Operations career. He is persistent and detailed and has an all-around great attitude,” says Dana Beard, Human Resources and Safety Manager for all Action Stainless & Alloys locations.

Kevin credits his success to the support of his leadership teams who have provided opportunities for growth and advancement throughout his career. He says, “If you’re willing to learn and work, then there are plenty of opportunities to find your career path.”

And along that career path, you’re likely to run into challenges. Kevin recalls advice he received early on that has helped him work through challenges he’s come across; he says, “Get the big stuff out of the way first, so the rest seems easy. It’s simple, yet effective – and that’s stuck with me.”

Advice like this and the patience of management and coworkers is what makes Kevin happy to come to work each day. “Regardless of the issues, they show patience and respect, even when something goes wrong,” says Kevin.

Giving someone a little grace goes a long way, and it’s essential to helping a person work toward the bigger picture – building a successful career. Here’s Kevin’s advice to those who are trying to do just that: “A positive attitude is everything. Be humble, patient and willing to start wherever you can. Your work ethic and the quality of your work will speak for itself and allow you to build the career you have planned.”
