Sonya Malvick to Present at MetalCon 2019

Sonya Malvick will represent Olympic Steel and AWMI at MetalCon in Pittsburgh.

Sonya Malvick, Olympic Steel Sales Representative and International President of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI), will be speaking at MetalCon in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, October 16. MetalCon is the largest event in North America dedicated to metal in design and construction. In fact, it’s the metal construction industry’s largest international event for metal construction products, technologies and solutions. During this conference, industry experts will share their knowledge and expertise with designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators and suppliers from more than 50 countries.

Sonya will represent Olympic Steel and the AWMI as part of a panel discussion highlighting women in the metals industry. She will present along with another metals industry representative from AWMI and two additional women from the metal roofing industry. She plans to share opportunities and successes both from her experience at Olympic Steel and with AWMI. It will be great for Sonya to highlight the efforts within our organization to encourage and support women in our industry through career growth opportunities and leadership training.

She will also represent our company and AWMI at a booth at the exhibit – along with more than 200 other exhibitors. We know she’ll do Olympic Steel proud.
