Annual Poka Yoke Contest
Submit a poka yoke by November 8 for a chance to WIN $1,000!
For four years, we’ve identified clever ways to improve processes that reduce safety risks. These ideas that help remove risks or prevent errors are known as poka yokes, officially defined as “mistake-proofing or error prevention”. We celebrate these great ideas with our Annual Poka Yoke Contest that rewards and recognizes the individuals and teams who officially implement their great ideas to reduce our safety risks.
You could WIN $1000! ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!
Like prior years, we will award a first and second place prize for each of two categories, in addition to special recognition for the individual/team and the division. First place will win a $1,000 VISA gift card and second place will win a $500 VISA gift card – two winners for each category. And, we’ll also give special recognition for the individual/team and the division.
How to Participate
If you submitted a Poka Yoke this year, you are already entered into the contest! All completed/implemented Poka Yokes submitted from December 2023 through November 8, 2024 are eligible.
Use the Poka Yoke Submission Form and return the completed form (with pictures – attached to the form or sent via email) to your local Safety Representative by Friday, November 8.
Two winners (or winning teams) will be selected for each of two categories:
- Most Impactful Poka Yoke (1st and 2nd place)
- Most Innovative Poka Yoke (1st and 2nd place)
