BBQ and Swag for Safety

The Bettendorf, IA team gathered outside to celebrate summer and remind everyone why we put Safety First.

The Bettendorf, IA division’s Safety Committee hosted a Safety-themed BBQ on Friday, August 6 to keep the Safety messages shared each day front and center, especially the importance of 5S Safety walks and staying hydrated during the hot, summer months.

Grill masters – Jeff Carson, General Manager, and Chris Lang, Inside Sales Representative – cooked burgers and bratwursts for all employees. In addition to the social time with coworkers, everyone received a frisbee, koozie, cooling bandana and a cookie decorated with a Safety message that further reinforced the importance of putting Safety first.

From cooking, serving, setup and cleanup, it was a team effort! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, especially Tracy DeLathouwer, Safety and Training Manager, and Carole Flosi, Office Manager, for putting it all together.
