Certified Trainers Certify Success

Olympic Steel’s Certified Trainer Program gives employees the opportunity to establish job training modules for new hires to help them safely and efficiently learn how to do their job.

Olympic Steel’s Certified Trainer Program allows employees to learn not only the importance of effective training, but how to deliver it, too. Olympic Steel’s Certified Trainer Program gives employees the opportunity to establish training resources for their division’s new hires to help them safely and efficiently learn how to do their job.

The program involves a full day of course work and hands-on activities to “train the trainers” on how to effectively onboard. Employees learn their new role as trainers, while discovering different learning styles and developing techniques to help them coach employees, communicate effectively and provide feedback to new hires.

This program is Employee Development in action – for the Certified Trainers and for all the future employees they’ll train. But don’t take our word for it. Katie Vargo, Production Supervisor and Certified Trainer at the Minneapolis Coil division, says, “I’m proud to be a part of the training program. I like being involved in the process that helps our new hires succeed. It’s a Company-wide program that involves a lot of different people, and it’s helped me stand out.”

Congrats to Our Grads

We’ve completed training at the 13 locations shown in the image below, and we’re in the process of scheduling others. To view a list of our Certified Trainers by location, click on the image below.
