EZ Dumper – Chambersburg, PA: Eric North

Eric North, Welder, noticed a potential safety issue – a dump insert in production could fall out of the turner. He designed a new weld fixture that holds the dumper body in place. He made this happen by using a pinning method where the tailgate is located. Eric eliminated the safety issue before injuries occurred.

Lesson Learned:

Eric’s proactive measures identified and eliminated a Safety hazard before anyone was harmed. When we eliminate or reduce risks before anyone is harmed, we’re helping send people home safe at the end of their shift.
