Forging Ahead and Empowering the Industry for Future Success

The Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) empowers the metals industry by offering valuable resources, insights, and support for success. Through a wide range of top-tier programs and services, MSCI offers countless opportunities for continuous learning and growth for everyone within our industry. One of their newer initiatives is their Forge Ahead event, designed for Gen-Z and Millennials looking to develop their leadership skills and knowledge to build careers and make a big impact in our industry.
The Forge Ahead Event serves as a hub for networking, building relationships, and creating an opportunity to get involved in the local MSCI Chapter. Attendees also have the opportunity to interact and connect with today’s leaders and future leaders of our industry. This networking aspect enables the sharing of best practices, knowledge exchange, and building and promoting an inclusive, innovative, and dynamic MSCI Community. This year, on Friday night participants attended a networking event at Flight Club Chicago. On Saturday morning, MSCI hosted a brunch near Wrigley Field where participants discussed how they can bring the industry into the future and help to create a more diverse workforce.

Don’t classify yourself as a Next Gen employee? Not to worry! MSCI has resources available for ALL employees. All you need to access their broad array of products and services is a company email address, which will allow you to establish a personal MSCI username and password.
Many of their services come complimentary with a membership but be sure to ask your supervisor before registering to make sure it can assist with your goals.
