Shaw Stainless & Alloy, based in Georgia, is a full-line distributor of stainless steel sheet, pipe, tube, bar and angles and a manufacturer and distributor of stainless steel bollards and water treatment systems.
In October of 2021, Shaw Stainless & Alloy joined Olympic Steel as part of our specialty metals segment, expanding our product and processing offerings.
HISTORY
In 1979, Stainless & Alloy Piping was founded as a wholesale distribution business specializing in stainless steel pipe, stainless valves and stainless fittings. In 2002, Bryan Shaw acquired the business located in Marietta and Albany, Georgia. A processing and fabrication center was added in 2005. Periods of growth saw the company double in size in 2007 with additional square feet for manufacturing. The pipe fabrication division was added in 2010, and the addition of the Powder Springs headquarters and industrial complex occurred in 2015. The architectural stainless division was created in 2019 and the processing facility in Hiram, Georgia was added to the company, culminating in more than 120,000 square feet of warehouse and fabrication space across all facilities.
PRODUCTS
Shaw Stainless & Alloy is a distributor specializing in stainless steel pipe, valves, fittings, flanges, structural materials, as well as sanitary tube and fittings. Additional alloys available include carbon steel, brass, bronze, aluminum and others upon request. Value-added services include cutting, polishing, threading, bending, forming, welding, grooving and custom fabrication. Shaw also carries an extensive inventory of pipe, valves, fittings, flanges, nipples, tube, sheet, bar, channel, angle, other structural materials, and sanitary tube and fittings.
Shaw is equipped to create custom stainless steel fabrication and specializes in large diameter pipe, custom wastewater treatment systems, railings, platforms, stairs and bollards – security barrier posts to protect commercial, industrial or secure areas.
Bollards fabricated by Shaw have been provided for many high-profile clients and facilities including One World Trade Center, Comcast headquarters, Staten Island, Facebook headquarters, convention centers, military bases, airports, music venues, banks and stadiums such as the Home of the Atlanta Braves, Truist Park.
