Our Teams Illuminate Corporate Citizenship this Holiday Season

We saw our Corporate Citizenship Core Value in action in many ways this holiday season. From volunteering to impactful fundraisers, teams across the company embodied our commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve.

At the heart of our Company's mission lies a Core Value that resonates through action — Corporate Citizenship. This season, our teams across the country came together through various initiatives to have a positive impact on their local communities.

Santa’s Elves: Bettendorf Donates Gifts to Those in Need

To provide some extra holiday cheer this season, the Bettendorf division organized raffles, a Chili Cook-Off, and a donation tree to raise $2,800. The funds were used to purchase over 100 gifts for 20 seniors in the area through the Center for Active Seniors (CASI) and two families (with three children each). Twelve Bettendorf employees used the funds to purchase gifts, then the group wrapped each present and delivered them to CASI and the families.

Sweet Success: Chambersburg’s Holiday Bake Sale Fundraiser

In Chambersburg, our team added a dash of sweetness to the season with a holiday bake sale fundraiser. With a variety of festive treats, the community indulged in the spirit of giving by supporting the initiative. They raised $800 from the bake sale to support Holiday with Heroes, Chambersburg’s Police and Fire Departments holiday program that provides participating families with gifts and food during the holiday season. This donation helped support 20 families, and the unsold baked goods were donated to the local Franklin County Homeless Shelter.

Volunteering for Joy: Adopt-A-Family at The Centers in Cleveland, OH

Our Corporate HR and Communications teams joined forces to spread holiday joy through the Adopt-A-Family program. Volunteering a combined 39 hours of time, they took inventory and sorted through generous donations, ensuring that families in need would experience the magic of the season.

Illuminating Hope: The Akron Children's Hospital Christmas Tree Fundraiser

This year, the Corporate Office participated in the Akron Children's Hospital Christmas Tree Fundraiser. Our volunteers came together to donate a decorated tree for auction. All money raised from the sale of the trees went to the Akron Children’s Hospital, supporting healthcare initiatives for children in need.

Toys-for-Tots Triumph: Minnesota's Local News Feature

Our Minnesota team made headlines with their successful Toys-for-Tots campaign. Not only did their teamwork provide 100+ toys for children in need, but their efforts also garnered attention from the local news. Check it out here

Toy-for-Tots Round Two: Shaw Stainless & Alloy Success Down South

Our Shaw team, in locations throughout Georgia, organized their own Toys-for-Tots fundraiser. Rallying together to collect 40+ toys, they transformed the holiday season for countless children in their local community.

Toys Galore: Southeastern Region's Make-A-Wish Toy Drive

In our Buford and Winder, Georgia and Hanceville, Alabama locations, teams orchestrated a toy drive to supply toys for the Make-A-Wish. The initiative aimed to bring smiles to the faces of children facing health challenges by filling their “wish closet” with the donated toys. The team collected over 100 toys, plus a $1,000 donation from a local car dealership, Akins Ford.

Beyond the Holidays: A Commitment to Lasting Change

While these holiday initiatives radiate warmth and kindness, our commitment to Corporate Citizenship doesn't end with the season's festivities. We recognize that community support is a year-round endeavor. As we close out the year, we look forward to continuing our efforts, exploring new avenues for making a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
