What is SharePoint?

SharePoint empowers teamwork, allows you to quickly find information and seamlessly collaborate across the organization.

Since last fall, we’ve explained that O365 is a cloud-based set of Microsoft applications available to you from any device with a web browser and an internet connection.

The programs are accessible to users with a personal O365 login or through OSSIE by selecting the waffle icon (9 small squares that look like a waffle) in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

So far, we’ve highlighted features for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneDrive.

With the increase in employees working remote, having ways to easily share documents and collaborate with your team is more important than ever. Microsoft SharePoint is a cloud-based service that helps organizations do just that – share and manage content, knowledge and applications. These services empower teamwork, allow you to quickly find information and seamlessly collaborate across the organization.

Did you know, if you use OSSIE on a regular basis – you’re already familiar with SharePoint…our intranet, OSSIE, is a SharePoint site created for all employees to have access to shared files and important links associated with our business.
