The creative ways we’re supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and our Annual Working for Wishes Campaign all year long.
Seventeen years ago, Olympic Steel began the Working for Wishes campaign to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, granting three wishes in the inaugural year of the campaign. Since then, we’ve raised over $1.4 million and granted more than 150 wishes.
Last year COVID created fundraising challenges we’ve never encountered before. We faced those challenges through creative thinking and Olympic determination to raise over $40,000, granting 8 wishes in 2020.
This year, divisions across the Company have been raising money for the Working for Wishes campaign as early as February. Here’s what divisions have organized so far this year to help make the seventeenth year of granting wishes a successful one:
Supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® is often a year-long commitment. Corporate Citizenship Committees at each division work hard to help make wishes come true year-after-year through big and small events.
